Hobe Sound is an unincorporated area and census-designated place (CDP) in Martin County, Florida, United States, located along Florida’s Treasure Coast. The population was 14,003 at the 2020 census.
Hobe Sound is the anglicized form of the name of a village of the Jaega, a Native American group that lived in the area before European settlement.
