It’s possible to get two types of flood insurance: One that covers the structure of your house and One that protects your belongings. You’ll want to buy both kinds of insurance most of the time for better claim handling.
The basic structure flood insurance doesn’t cover furniture, carpeting, clothing, and electronics, so you won’t get any money back if a flood damages your home.
Tell your insurance agent that you want to cover your home and personal belongings for the best protection, and they will suggest your policy accordingly.

Your landlord’s insurance will likely cover any flood damage to your home structure if you live in the home that you rent. They own the design, so any damage caused by a flood to the property would get covered.
While, most likely, their insurance would not cover your personal damages. Your flood insurance would cover any personal property damage to the stuff inside the house you own in Briny Breezes, FL.

4) Is Flood Coverage Included In My Home Insurance Policy?

Some flood adjusters may handle a flood clause in your policy, but it’s usually not comprehensive. You should ask your insurance claims adjuster if you need a different flood policy.
5) What Portions Of The House Are Covered In Your Flood Insurance?
In most cases, flood insurance is based on your home’s elevation (where the home’s foundation is). As a result, check whether the basements and crawl spaces are covered because these are the most affected areas.
You’ll also want to know if your flood insurance will pay for temporary housing if your home is damaged and you have to move out.

Some information about Briny Breezes, FL
Briny Breezes is a town in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. The population was 601 at the 2010 census. Briny Breezes is a small coastal community of approximately 488 mobile homes along State Road A1A. Briny is a private community consisting mostly of ‘Snowbirds’ from the Northeast, Midwest, and Canada. It and Ocean Breeze are the only two mobile home parks in Florida that are incorporated towns.
In the 1920s, the land housed a strawberry farm owned by Michigan lumberman Ward Miller. Around the time of the Great Depression, he allowed tourists, who brought their trailers down from the North, to camp on his land. He began advertising the land by placing flyers in Northern newspapers, such as the Chicago Tribune, that touted Briny’s ‘$3 a week rent.’ In 1958, Miller wanted to retire and made an offer to the campers to buy the land: $2,000 per lot and $2,500 for those near the water. The campers brought their assets together and the town was incorporated on March 19, 1963, complete with its own mayor and post office.
The town’s first mayor was Hugh David, who held office until his death in 1997 and was never opposed in an election. His successor, Robert Conkey, also died in office only months into his second term in 2000. Conkey’s second term was notable as he won the election by only five votes. The town’s current mayor is Roger Bennett.
In its beginnings, the town was mainly made up of families that came to live during the winter. Now, the residents are senior citizens that live there either year round or just in the winter.
